Established in the late 1940's STA was a vision of naturally like individuals who enjoyed the freedom to be nude and the beauty now known as Sandy Terraces, a co-operative association of Family and Friends who value the beauty of nature. Being naturally at peace with our members and visitors, we all enjoy a peaceful serene atmosphere to practice nudism. We swim, canoe, sunbathe, meditate, laugh, console, read a good book, always making time for great food and fellowship, and enjoy the pristine surroundings with like human beings, naturally. Sorry we do not accept credit cards.
Often the best times are spent meandering our terraced trails that wander through an enchanted like forest passing permanent member sites that bring out the individual. On a Saturday evening a large happy group preparing for an impromptu dinner or a group activity that is hosted at our pavilion, the smell of local hardwood leading a path to our wood heated sauna which overlooks the beautiful clear pond that is framed by the forest and terraced surroundings above. You will always hear the sounds of enjoyment, laughter, and the silence of the evening. Whether it is the sights, the smells, or the sounds of Sandy Terraces, you will always absorb the simplicity of Nature.
We do not have any food service on site, we do have water and canned soft drinks available, and there are several local delivery restaurants nearby, menus are available in the office.

Beautiful Place to stay and relax in the middle of nature.
Excellent weekend getaway! Accommodations and people were amazing, be back again next year.
I think this is the smallest naturist resort I’ve been to. Very pretty, basically in the middle of a forest. Fantastic salt water pool, cabanas pool side to get out of the sun if you’ve had enough. Games like corn hole poolside. Places to grill out. The lake looks awesome but I couldn’t bring myself to skinny dip in 77 degree water when the pool is 88 degrees. There’s a wood fired sauna down by the beach that I’m told anyone is welcome to fire up and use.
I am staying in one of the rental cottages - the “Doll House”. I have no idea how it got that name because there is nothing “doll house” about it. This one has a “half bath”. It has a refrigerator freezer-bigger than those small ones you see in hotels but not full sized either. It has a very new looking stove and a microwave. Fully equipped kitchen. Small table with two chairs. My cabin has an attached patio with another small table and two chairs. I’m a couple hundred feet away from the pool and showers.
The bed is not very comfortable. Bedding is NOT provided and if I was told this when I made my reservation two months ago, I forgot it. I had to run in to Falmouth to pick up a sleeping bag and pillow, but I needed a few other things for my three night stay anyway so no big deal.
The residents here are very friendly. If you are looking for a place to explore the nudist lifestyle this would be a perfect place to come try it. They offer day passes. If I lived in the area I would absolutely become a member. I’d even consider becoming a resident. Check this place out!
the internet connection was very bad. I wanted to work with the stock market. the connection keep dropping every 1 or 2 minutes. Making it impossible for guest to do anything worth while. I would have stayed a couple extra days if I had a good connection. They should let guest know ahead of time, to bring there own internet connection if they have important business.
Been three times and for some reason always get a tiny bit of butterflies, which go away the second we go through the gate and are greeted by a member. Campground is adorable, facilities are clean, and community is so nice and welcoming to non-members.
