This RV site is in the top 5 of any Colorado site we’ve stayed at. Tremendous River location with good trees and amenities. Highly recommended.
Park is a little tight but well kept, in a beautiful location and close enough to Salida for exploring. Biggest worry was the bridge coming in, which is only rated for 18,000 lbs for a two-axle motorhome. Our 33' class A weighs that much empty, and close to 21k lbs as we travel down the road. I saw other motorhomes in the park bigger than ours that had obviously made it, so I took the chance, but would rather not push my luck again. Also, don't miss the last turn into the park after you cross the bridge as there is a low clearance train trestle immediately after the park entrance. We were told by a park neighbor that a 5th wheel had run into it the week before we were there!
Campsite right on the Arkansas River with mature trees and green grass. Gold medal fly fishing is awesome throughout the area. The owners and camp hosts are extremely helpful at all times. This is our 3rd year and we're already making plans to return next year.
