We experienced a great weekend at Pine Valley. Beautiful grounds, secluded area; and loved the hike to see gorgeous Dillard Mill. Highly recommend!
the best hamburger I have ever had. I know that sounds crazy. especially on a review... sounds cliché. I promise you. this burger is so good, your future grandchildren will be blessed just from you having it. worth the 2 hour drive from St. Louis.
Great place to get away from it all. We stayed in the quaint cottage enjoyed the hiking trails through the property, fishing in the stocked ponds, visiting historic Dillard Mill, as well as a quick trip to Steelville for a day float trip. Loved waking up and seeing the cows in thier pasture and ending the day with magnificent sunsets. There are two trailers/motorhomes for those looking for a upgraded camping experience with running water and electricity. Fire pits with wood readily available for roasting marshmallows. Outdoor showers and toilets (even though each site has it's in shower and toilet). Hosts are readily available and often on site especially during the weekends.
My stay was amazing! The property was very well maintained and so beautiful. We spent time on the Huzzah and it was so relaxing. Perfect quick get away before the end of summer!
This was a wonderful trip!! Went in the off season and off days and there was no one to be seen. The property was beautiful and well maintained. Wide mowed pathes to hike, and a beautiful hammock hang out with a hammock in the box to hamg. The "general store" was basic, but got wood n firestarter, wich was all i needed. Outdoor shower n tub were so very nice n private. Only planned on staying 1 day, was so comfy, i changed it to 2 days with no problem at all. Had a wee issue with grill, but host was very quick to reply n fix issue. Host was there a wee bit but very non intrusive, and very friendly to chat with. Will 100% do this again!! Thanks so much for a great escape!!
