We have stayed at this campground several times. All of the sites are first come first serve. Plan accordingly if it’s a holiday weekend. The cost is $20 per night, and a limit of 6 people per campsite. The Park Rangers do verify registration and ensure people are following the regulations. There are restrooms available during the majority of the year, but there are no showers. You have easy access to the Buffalo river, and is easy for putting in or taking out for a float. Be sure to check river levels if you are planning to float the river.

Nice campground with access to buffalo river. There are 2 types of camp site. Park and camp and walk-in camp. Can swim or kayak or other water activities. The campground itself is organized and clean. Busy on holiday but not on weekdays. Rest room are available. Some deep wells are not working. No shower available. Has to drive a county rough road. No store in the campground. Rate: $20/night. I will go back again but will prefer the walk-in camp site. The park and camp can be annoying especially at night for late check-ins in the campground.

We just went to the river to go swimming. It was nice and relaxing. The water was warm and deep enough to swim in (over my head and I’m 6’4”). Lots of little fish. Water was very clear and the sandy beach was nice. Water was very low for the river but we still enjoyed the swim.
