Boat ramp is the steepest, and most dangerous in Oklahoma, my trailer went off the ramp and had to pull it very hard to get my trailer over the drop off, it separated my trailer and had to have it welded back to drive anywhere.
Wasps everywhere around port-a-pottie. Dangerous place for beginners that's for sure.
I started fishing here when they didnt use the road up to the top. Boats opposite side of spillway, 14ft vbottom boats turned over, carried motor and gas can up the stairs, limited motor size. Turn the boats over watching out for wasps, poisonous spiders and copperheads. Good times. Oh yeah bream fishing, catch fish for 3 hours, clean for 9.
Rude woman working in the office. When we arrived to this area , we went to the office to pay the tickets if we need to, but she said here is free. We came to have a good time there, we found a good bench to sit with my family. While we were sitting. She came and said, someone reserved but she lied. Her friend just came and she was so rude. We left the area. I am really sorry for such a liar woman like her.
Nice secluded lake. It is not for everyone but I personally love these hidden gems... will be back on my Kayak for some larger bass.
I have been fishing here in the spring for the past 16 years. The new managers, Raymond & his wife has done a fantastic job keeping this place clean. I will definitely continue to keep my tradition of camping and fishing here.
