Overall I have to give the State Park a Five Star experience! We decided to go camping with our towable RV.

If you are doing that make sure to inquire about the level of each spot as we where on a VERY steep hill which was hard to level.

All facilities seemed decent but we just used the camper for a 2 Night stay. (Me, Wife and Daughter.)

There are tons of activities to do! And they are all put on through the park Naturists! Highly recommend especially if you have kids.

Have an expansive disc golf course. Sinage for start is not great. One staff member we asked was not sure of where to go. However they did get us a map of the course for us. Course signs need par information on them. Had a blast playing course.

I’ve been here for decades. I came as a little girl with my family, and now I’m able to come with my own children. The lake is beautiful to look at, kinda didn’t like my kids swimming in it because the water is very murky. 🤪 They have boats there and you can go fishing. There are several walking trails. I’ve been on about 3 of them recently. All beautiful. The only reason for 4/5 stars is the beach is kind of icky. There is a lot of geese poo and the water doesn’t look like it should be swam in, but tons of people swim in it so I suppose it’s fine. Haha. I used to swim in it too as a child. But everything else there is great. They have animals you can go and see, and a playground for the kids!

Winter camping at Huston woods. Electric at full hook up sites, bath house: hot water, sinks toilets working. Relaxing, cold, quiet, 8 other campers, still lots to do. Struggled getting out of warm camper . Will definitely do it again
