While the serenity of the campground, large sites, good water pressure, and friendly campers were great, the nearly 4 miles of extremely dusty roads to get there were a big disappointment. Besides the need to change the engine air filter, wash the coach and the car we tow, and spend a lot of time cleaning the dust that coated the interior, the frustration that no attempt at spreading calcium chloride or some other dust reducer was ever made gave a negative taste to what could be a great stay.
Loved this campground and trails. The pull through sites spoiled me - full hookups mean I don't have to haul water, generator, dump my sewer and the owners are amazing, super nice, helpful and attentive. Firewood and hay are for sale along with souvenir items. This place is so well kept! Really liked that the corrals are right behind each site so no fencing to bring or set up. Just wish there was something other than heavy gumbo-type dirt that turns to mud for substrate in the corrals (maybe Class 5 with sand on top?) There's such a huge trail system you could spend more than a week exploring. Excellent place to stay and ride
Very peaceful, quiet place to camp! We were able to book an RV site the day of. We had a perfect night and perfect spot to see so many stars in the sky!
