Lovely, quiet campground. We stayed one night while on a road trip. The attendant asked whether we wanted to be close to showers or have privacy. We chose privacy. Site 79 was perfect and completely surrounded by mature greenery (and just a bit of a walk to the showers). The cosy fire pit area is secluded and you can’t even see the road if you sit back here. We passed by several easy pull through sites as well which we might try next time. The pit toilets were very clean and well maintained.

Camp site #12 was long enough for my 38' trailer and pickup to park easily. Great trees for shade and hanging a hammock. Clean firepit and nicely mowed. This site is close to the playgrounds and maybe 50 yards from hole 7 of the frolf course. Frisbee golfers walk by periodically but not too close to the campers.

We hold a strong affinity for this expansive park, appreciating its generous proportions and open layout—a perfect locale for leisurely canine strolls. The copious trees offer commendable shade even during the most scorching summer periods. The presence of a conveniently situated boat launch further enhances the park's appeal. The strategic placement of waste receptacles throughout the premises proves to be a thoughtful convenience, particularly when indulging in outdoor grilling or discarding pet waste.

Regrettably, during the midsummer months, the prevalence of ticks in this area poses a notable concern. Consequently, we take measures to ensure our canine companion's safety by confining activities to the sidewalk. The park's pavilions serve their intended purpose effectively, accommodating larger gatherings in a pleasing manner.

An attribute we admire is the allocation of designated areas catering to campers and those seeking a primitive camping experience. This enduring feature is indicative of the park's commitment to meeting a diverse range of recreational preferences.

What a wonderful find! The Fall colors were beautiful and the camp spots were so big. Felt like we were really out with nature plus a very nice dump site on the way out and water. The park Personnel was awesome!

It was 4 miles off of Highway 94 and very easy to get to. Well worth the short drive. We definitely will be back:-) oh and the bathrooms and showers were very nice and very very clean:-)
