Though it can be a bit of a rough drive to the trailhead (or... A reeeealy long walk through the other side), the payoff is huge! Varied terrain, and a view of the sisters that's so close you feel like you can reach out and touch it! If you go at the right time of the year, you'll find wildflowers at the lake. Curving around from the north is a short path to a great viewpoint.
NOTE: don't drink the water. There's dead elk decomposing in the lake that are left over from an avalanche a few years back.
Great hike, starting at closest trailhead to No Name Lake took our group about 70min against the wind. Eventually blew out the fog/clouds see pictures of when we arrived and after we stayed around for an hour. Only redesign to mark this a moderate hike is because majority of it is easy walking except a few spots where its a steep incline.
Incredible views. You will need a high clearance vehicle if you were coming in from the Todd lake entrance. Even in a large truck, there were some parts that were quite sketchy, bumpy and noisy. We were worried that we did some damage underneath. Go SLOW. Do not attempt to come here and a small car such as a sedan!
