Located 14 miles from Vincennes and 14 miles from Sullivan. From Vincennes go 14 miles North on US Hwy 41. From I-70 in Terre Haute go approximately 45 miles South on US Hwy 41. The park entrance is located just off the East side of US Hwy 41.
Family run all AMAZING people. Absolutely beautiful views and very peaceful stay. The rates are very reasonable. Full hook ups laundry on site, ice and wifi too! I couldn't ask for more.
The camp was well groomed, sites were easy to park in. The problem for us was that there are 2 sets of train tracks only 30 to 40 feet from our site. During the day only 5 or 10 trains went by, but at night there at the very least were 15 to 20. We got no sleep all night. If the trains don't bother you it's a really nice park.
A little difficult to find without the name on the sign by road, but was a easy turnaround. Nice level spots. The person that we talked to I think was owner was very friendly. Quite during the day, but yes he did tell us there is a train that goes by. But we didn't know it did all night long, along with a active underground coal mine with trucks in and out. A safe place to stay but bring ear plugs.
Great little park. Stayed 2 months this time. Peaceful setting in the country with a little lake. Great area other side of lake where we could let the big dog run wild and wear himself out. There is allot of road and train noise and you can hear and sometimes smell the coal mine. We still love the place and the farm restaurant buffet just over bridge is great also.
Very nice, laid back RV park with good rates. Owners are very friendly. Park grounds are well maintained and sites have two sewer connections instead of one which accommodates larger RVs with two bathrooms. We enjoyed the view of the pond and watching the little turtles peeking up from the water, the ducks and geese that seem to live there full time, and the fireflies in the evenings. The shower room and laundry are in the storm cellar of the main house/office building, so someone with mobility issues may have trouble accessing them. Also there is occasional noise from trains, and there is an active mining operation nearby, but with our fans and a/c running it really wasn't that noticeable unless we were outside. We will stay there again if we are ever back in the area.
