Great place to go hiking (or biking I assume but we didn’t do that). You really feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere and the combination of hoodoos and mesas give the place an amazing feeling. Do be prepared for a long bumpy dirt road in that would probably be tough after a rain but it was fine in December with some snow on it. Both the Hoodoo path and the Seismosaurus path are fun though we probably preferred the Hoodoo one. You can find trail maps on line at the Bureau of Land Managment.

Spectacular place just over an hour drive from Albuquerque. The dirt roads part weren't too bad but you can certainly hit some bouncers. Great alternative if you don't have the time to go all the way to Bisti.
