This area is creepy as hell!

We went with a group of 5. This was the following creepypasta that ensued throughout the night!

1. Footsteps coming from behind me near our car, thought it was a friend. Looked was nobody.

2. Metallic scratching-metal voice noises in the distance all night.

3. Creepy ass feeling all night.

4. Felt like something was watching us(ended up sleeping in the car)

5. While in the car, heard tapping on the glass 3 separate times.

*my friends are not the practical joking kind

Dulce NM is not far from here. Be warned.

Dulce is literally hours from here. 3 hours and 39 minuets according to Google maps. Just saying...

Pretty spot! Quite, lots of tree cover, and the stream is very pretty. But be prepared for a drive! It’s very out of the way (the nearest town is at least 45 minuets away) which can be a pro or con. Pack what you need so you don’t need to make a store run, including your water! If “away” is what you are looking for then this is a great spot!

If you want solitude this is the spot. Very remote and quiet. Even on busy weekends this campground will usually have an open spot. Be prepared you will be hours from any type of store or town. Road can have a lot of areas with “washboard “. For a campground it is very close to dispersed type of camping. Only downside is this is also used for horses and can have a lot of flies.

We really enjoyed our visit to Valle Vidal! We stayed in the Crystal on the bluff overlooking the beautiful meadow! We had a couple of very friendly campground host and had a nice evening meal with them and enjoyed sharing our wine & snacks with them! Took several pictures of what we thought were hummingbirds in the meadow below also saw several artifacts from previous homesteaders! We found out when looking at the pictures that some of the so-called hummingbirds are actually Whitelined Sphinx moths!

Drive carefully on that 21 Mile road in we took it several times in and out and there's a lot of sharp rocks on that road!

I'm pretty sure you can drive through Valle Vidal & make your way to Red River on the Enchanted Circle! We entered from the road about 3 miles east of Cimarron New Mexico.
