Lovely free campsite. Clean pit toilet, tables, fire pits. Dirt road up is a little bumpy, a car may or may not make it. No problem in a high clearance or 4wd. We were the only ones up here for the night so really quite and secluded. Great sunset and sunrise views.

Trail down to the river is about 1hr each way, can get hot in the afternoon so take plenty of water. Look out for the petroglyphs at the first rock outcrop.

Definitely not a beginners trail. You need strong legs and good balance. If you have them you'll love this trail! Going all the way down to where Red River, joins the Rio Grande was so beautiful! A walking stick would come in handy, especially going back up.
