Mule Hill is a small campground with only 13 campsites, whose main entrance is on the left hand side of Glendo Park Road, ¼ mile southeast of the Main Fee Booth. All campsites in Mule Hill are developed, with gravel road access and established parking pads. Site 7 has a large, ADA compliant, cement pad. Sites 4 and 7 are pull-through sites, while the others – up to site 12 – are back-in sites. Site 13 is a groupsite, which accommodates up to 3 camping units. Sites 1 through 6, 8-10, and 12 are all located underneath or along a stand of cottonwood trees, with at least partial shade. Sites 7, 11, and 13 are more exposed with little to no shade. The toilet is located on the eastern side of the campground, closest to sites 1-6. Normally, from early May to Mid-July, campers at Mule Hill will find easy access to the water, which comes up into the trees. After July, the bay drains out, and the closest water access is through the south side of Whiskey Gulch Campground.
Reservations Required May 1 through September 30
Outside of the season, all campsites revert to first come, first served (walk-in).
