Logan State Park is a gem. Tucked away in northwest Montana roughly 44 miles northwest of Kalispell MT. Camp sites are paved and provide electric service. There is a well maintained playground for kids. The bathrooms are well maintained and kept clean by the staff. This has the only boat launch for middle Thompson lake and gets lots of local traffic. The fishing opportunity without a boat is extremely limited. The water depth is shallow at the dock. While there an adult decided to try and jump off the dock. He broke his leg and was hauled off by first responders. The dock was clearly marked "no diving". I guess he learned a hard lesson.

We stayed a total of 7 days and had a wonderful time.

Stayed here overnight, midweek in early June in our 25' motorhome. Some sites have electric hookups, water is available from shared spigots. Although not all of the sites were taken when we were there, I'd still recommend making a reservation. Campsite pads are paved and generally level. Many sites had tent pads. Enjoyed lake views and big trees with plenty of birds to hear and observe. There is a trail to the west (near site #12), which goes along the lake down to another "dry" camp area. This was our second time staying here and I'm sure we'll be back in the future.

As other reviews say... yes this is truly a tucked away gem! Have to also give shout-outs to how wonderful our camp hosts Tom and Jenn were. Such high-end hospitality and they went above 'n beyond to help guide us to and backing in to our site, B1, which had a magnificent view! We're a big rig and we could still manage the in's and outs of this park. Our site was paved and a 'double wide' so our 45ft 5th wheel and our 20ft truck parked next to it still allowed us plenty of room. Enjoyed a campfire, made new friends, walked the dock and boat slips and walked pup in the lakeside grassy area. Another review mentioned the 'island' in the parking lot in front of the B1-B4 lots, yes it was kind of a pain, but we managed. Wonderful weather, thank God for that! And thank you Montana for Logan State Park!
