I love this campground! It is about 5 minutes away from West Yellowstone City, which is a darling and has the playmill theater. This campground has lots of sites and beautiful trees and fields, there is a beautiful lake with a little path going around it. Every site has a table with a accessibility bench so it is easy to push a wheelchair in, or stand and prepare food without a bench being in the way. Each site also has a bear box, which is super awesome for food storage. There are outhouses and clean water spigot space throughout the campsite as well.
Just added an extra night to stay! Perfect location to enter the West entrance of Yellowstone National Park, only 5 mins drive! Also 5 minutes to get to West Yellowstone town where you have everything you need. Camp hosts have been super friendly and polite from the moment we arrived. We didn't book online, but we managed to get one of the first come first served spots as someone was leaving as we arrived. Tonight, they had a few songs playing from a band around the campfire at the hosts spot (was lovely music with lovely people). Wasn't disruptive to others camping etc. Toilets are very clean and water is accessible throughout the site. Would highly recommend!
The river is the highlight of this campground for a perfect sunset spot. The host was a little frosty and we got that ‘longer timer’ vibe of RV full timers who look down on those passing though. The sites are semi tucked away for a good bit of privacy if you angle yourself right. Pit toilets with no sinks so come prepared. Great location to Yellowstone west entrance and town of west Yellowstone!
