A bit of seaweed in the water but it's a nice little park and not too crowded. The disc golf course has no markings at all but it's still fun to throw a few holes.
Northern MN's hidden gem!! At last minute we decided to head there for a family picnic. This place is great! Wish we would've known that we would be going there, would've brought our suits to swim. We are from the twin cities and get up there about once a year. This year we decided that our family get togethers would be at your park!
Don't stay here!!!The guy that runs the place lies and it's not worth it. I was told the Thursday before my trip that the water would be turned on the following Monday. I wasn't told any different and I didn't know it was off until I went to the shower the first day and there wasn't any water. When I went to ask for it to be turned I was told that it wouldn't be on until Wednesday morning. Keep in mind I had already paid and no one told me that the water wasn't going to be on. THAT MEANS NO SHOWERS OR RESTROOMS. DONT STAY HERE!!!
Very nice park. There is a sandy beach and a park for the kids. I didn't see the public showers, but the public restroom has a lot to be desired. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall, a nice place to camp. I would camp her again!
Love this place! Always a nice place to stay and have nice fires at night! Plus there's disc golf, picnic areas, a playground, a man made lake and beach area, and all around fun!
