From town: Go 16 mi E on Grand Marais Truck Trail.
Great place to camp. Staff and DNR guys very helpful. Definitely do this one again.
2 short minutes away from Lake Superior! I was nervous about first come, first serve but if you get there before 5, you’re in good shape to find a spot.
Stayed here for week Oct 10-16 2020 had hole campground to ourselves site #15 Beautiful peaceful campground.
Contrary to what others have said this lake / River is full of some of the best fishing since i've been going up there in the early 80's.
Shouldn't ever be full. Beautiful rustic camping with plenty of spots on the water. Special regulations for pike fishing.
Had a wonderful 2 night stay here where we caught an amazing Northern Lights show. Clean, quiet campground tucked away in a beautiful location just a short walk from Lake Superior.
