We camped for a few nights at the rv sites with power and water. Right on the lake. It was beautiful! Our neighbor caught a little sun fish and we saw a 4ft Gator 🐊 showers were hot and the sites were clean. The nature center had activities for the little kids and there's brand new asphalt on the roads in the sites. The bathrooms were a little dirty by Sunday. I saw the rangers cleaning on Saturday morning but not Sunday. I went with just my boy, definitely going back with the rest of the family soon!

Great state park! The park is very large, with plenty of wildlife, a boating dock, lake, and trees. The trees were close enough to tie canopies/tarps to help protect from weather. Campsites are close enough that we know others are around and feel safe, but far enough that it doesn't get too loud.

Stopped here on the way home from Toledo Bend. Beautiful park and scenery. Campsites were clean and orderly with plenty of room between them. Walked the Wildlife and Island trails for some exercise. I will eventually come back here to camp.

My dog and I took two trails. The Forest trail which was too short for us, then cut over to Slough tail. We hiked about 2 miles. I think our highest elevation reached 30ft. So it's not rough. Both had plenty of benches to stop at and the park entrance of $4 per adult for hiking is lower than average. It's beautiful and more untamed than some of the other parks. Well worth the trip
