Lost Falls campground is a true hidden treasure. Overall, it has quite a lot to offer; we've swam in the river, played on the beach (with and without dogs), stargazed, fished, hiked to Lost Falls itself, and been on some amazing kayaking/float trips back to camp. And that was just a small group of adults using the rustic sites in the lower portion. The upper portion of the campground has more to offer for those with small children or looking for electric sites including several nice-looking cabins overlooking the river. But for us, the peaceful, shady, well-maintained, rustic spots on the Black River are really the best reasons to go. We've been here four times now and the owners and staff were always very friendly, relaxed and helpful.
I've done a good amount of camping and Lost Falls is among my favorite places. If you're unsure of this place, I encourage you to give it a chance.
Didn’t camp here, but went tubing. Great service, affordable, easy to access and reliable shuttle service. Had a great time floating down the river! Will come back!
Tubing on this river is soooooo slow. At times the tubes were going the opposite direction and we had to walk our tubes down the river half the time. That being said the camp sites are very nice. : /
Great place for old fashion relaxing. Tubing, kayaking down Black river was awesome and sitting in the river even better.
Great staff and well organized. *Caution...this time of year bees are VERY obnoxious and abundant. The sites are spacious. Will be going back.
We came here to let our dog check out the beach... which was amazing! The dog friendly beach hours were 7-9am and then 7-9pm. We went there in an evening and pretty much had the place to ourselves! Our young akita LOVED it. Such an amazing gem of a place!
