Driving time from the west to Liz Butte Cabin is 3 hours from Kamiah along Forest Roads 100 and 500.
From Kooskia, ID, take Highway 12 East to Kamiah. Turn left onto Woodland Road for half a mile, then take the second right onto Glenwood Road (Road 100). Stay on this paved road for 22 miles, where you will pass Lolo Campground. Stay on Road 100 for another 5.25 miles to the junction with Road 103. Turn right and follow it for 15 miles to Beaver Dam Saddle. At the junction, turn right onto Road 104 and go 1/2-mile to the junction with Road 500. Turn left and proceed on Road 500 for approximately 14 miles until you reach Liz Butte Junction, Road 560. Turn left and drive 4 miles to Liz Butte Cabin. The last 1/2 mile of road is steep and rocky - proceed with caution.
Driving time from the east on Saddle Camp Road 107 to Liz Butte Cabin is 2 hours. Travel north from Highway 12 on Road 107 for 9 miles. Make a hard left on Road 500 at the junction and drive west for approximately 25 miles to Liz Butte Junction. Turn right and drive 4 miles to Liz Butte Cabin. The last 1/2 mile of road is steep and rocky - proceed with caution.
