Cool overlook of hurricane city. Dirt Road is a little rough getting out there. I wouldn't take a low car, but I did see two Dodge Chargers heading to the overlook as we were leaving.

A short dirt rocky path that leads you to a beautiful scenery. Takes about 10 minutes to get back to the turnaround and about another 20 minutes to get to the end of the trail. But it is worth every minute of it as you are rewarded with some breath taking views.

Despite what our audio guide said, the road here was extremely rough. I doubt a conventional passenger car could make it to the overlook without damage. We had a Jeep, and had to go about 5 mph for the whole road.

The view at the end is indeed impressive, and I was glad I spent a few minutes taking this little side trip.

An incredibly beautiful overlook with trails in multiple directions that is the perfect place to watch sunrise and sunset...and is a photographer's dream! The road leading in is muddy if it has been raining recently with plenty of potholes, but a slow drive in and out makes it an easy enough drive for anyone without a low profile vehicle. The canyon depths in contrast to the plateau and mountain heights are stunning, and there is surprising vegetation scattered throughout. Worth a visit. No restrooms, and hike at your own risk. No guard rails or safety measures in place.
