Though today 'twas a cool winter day, beautiful sites just ached to be seen. Initially, a geocache was the goal...but it became necessary to stand, enjoy the sun with the cool air, and enjoy the view.
It's clear to see there is a lot of new changes in the future with construction going on, but for now...go enjoy a drive, and a walk. If you play Pokemon, there is plenty along this trail as well.
Not sure why this spot gets bad reviews. It's awesome. I've never seen it very busy. It has direct access to the shore and the paved trail around the lake. In January, when the lake freezes over, this is an awesome spot to come walk on the frozen lake. The rest of the reay, it provides beautiful sunsets.
There are a couple different access points to the lake, But I feel like this one is more hidden than the others. I haven't used the rental services because I usually like to go in the off-season when no one is there. The lake can be a little dirty and they had a pretty bad algae bloom summer 2016, but it is a really pretty place to go and take pictures. At least here in the vineyard area they have a mile and a half long running trail, which is paved, right next to the lake.
As a photographer, I love this place. I've shot here with and without models, here, more than anywhere else and the photos show why. The sunsets here are amazing and the scenery is beyond beautiful. Tons of nature to take in. Ponds, the lake, etc Definitely go here :-)
Great spot. Clean. Easy access. Only thing that would be better is paved parking, and not having to cross the street to get there!
