Wonderful trail with wonderful sites. I love this place the best during fall, but beautiful year round winter summer or spring.

The hike is pretty easy no huge elevation gains. But the trail is long enough you can easily spend all morning or afternoon hiking. I have heard the fishing is pretty good as well.

Beautiful area, multiple trails to walk. One trail was paved, a nice boardwalk around part of the lake, and 2 other hiking trails that I saw. Very quiet in October as well.

To me, this is one of the most beautiful places in Lawrence County, Ohio. The lake is clean and well stocked with fish, there's plenty of great places to swim and the beach is pretty decent. The trail that goes all the way around the lake has great sights, and there's a lot of history to learn about the area. I LOVE the RV parks and tent sites here, iron ridge is more integrated into the woods so you really feel like you're camping and not just glamping. It doesn't have all of the amenities as some more popular camp sights, but it's still loads of fun here.

It's a interesting and long hike to do. For us it was easy to follow the trail, there are signs along the way or trail indicators on trees. Not the best hike to do on a rainy October day though.. I got bored along the way with all the leaves being down..

I would normally give 5 stars, I had not visited in a while and was a bit disappointed in poor up keep , I’m not sure if this is a staffing or funding issue. The board walk is blocked off at the marina due to a tree that had fallen . There has been ample amount of time to repair any damages. The trails itself is poorly marked and easy to loose site of the trail. Come on Lawrence County you can do better ! There is limited places for outdoor adventures in our area, let’s take care of what we have.
