I helped build it from scratch back in the day along with Angelo, Bob n, Peterson the cop. Help built the Leach fields, rest rooms, structures, cleared sites, etc. Great place back then. Highly recommended. Glad I was part of everyone's experience since. I loved camping there.
Checking in was very smooth. My party had a primitive tent site which was amazing and quiet. The owner out a porta potty right down near the tent sites which was very convenient. Everyone else that was camping there were very nice and welcoming. The owner of the campgrounds was very personable and made sure everyone was having a great time. The roads through the camp grounds are very bumpy, but you just have to take your time driving in them. There is a local pizza shop that will actually deliver food right to your site, which is great for your first day there after setting camp up. I would totally stay there again.
