Garden of Eden. Compared to my desert resident. We had a reservation with thousands trails and was greeted so rudely by a burgundy hair older lady, we requested refund and went or separate ways. We was very lucky to come across LAKES IN THE PINES. Driving around, getting swept away by this fairytale village, we completely passed the short term camping site. A wonderful long term resident drove to the spot for us to follow and called the camp host on our behalf. Camp host arrived friendly and welcoming. Explained simple rules, rate, and wished us a good stay. And that we did. Glow bugs I haven’t seen since childhood, wild strawberry bushes, nature all around. Enjoyed walking my dogs, and they were fascinated by the horses.

Site has 30 amp (and maybe 50 amp) and water hookups, unpaved with red clay dirt (be careful) Nearby dumpster and sewage towards entrance. Limited to no cell service. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Nice, but could use a little updating & road maintenance. Feel like the permanent camper spots are very close together.

My family (inlaws too) loves this place. The owners of the campground are kind, courteous, considerate and truly caring. I just wish I could spend more time out there with my wife Christy and our 4 girls, in 2020 that's my goal.
