Many trails in this area to hike around and usually is less crowded then a lot of other trails compared near to Denver
Didn't see a person all day. Perfect trail. In fact. What am I saying. It was busy as a city street and there was trash and pollution everywhere. Please Don't come here. Nothing to see here. 😁
Take the Rolling Creek Trail or start section 4 of the Colorado Trail from the same point. 8 miles from US HWY 285 in Bailey is where the trailhead is. You can get there from Buffalo Creek too. Great place to hike, bike, or do some exploring. Watch for birds and Bigfoot!
Great trial. It was a nice slow incline. The path was clear of debris. There were quite a few trail runners and fellow backpackers. Near mile 4 was a large stream to refill bottles. There were plenty of campsites near the stream. We were able to see quite a few wildflowers and multiple Aspen groves. There was not too many views of the mountains on the section we hiked.
While a difficult trail, it's an amazing challenge worth the effort! Gorgeous views and plenty of water to filter for water. Campsites are very clean and well maintained.
