Welcome to our nothing fancy, low expectations, last resort, cheap and dirty family campground in Cooper Landing. This is dry camping in a classic Alaska parking lot style campground located adjacent to the Sterling Highway. No Hookups. No Wifi. Plenty of highway noise!
Enjoy your stay!
Camped for 1 night at campsite 11, left a note on my tent saying I was gone fishing, came back to my tent door open, my steaks removed on the side, and the top of my tent cover lifted open on the side, it's like someone came an tried to look in and then just went and opened the door for a better look, maybe got mad an tried to start taking my tent down. Not real happy. Leaving without finishing my stay. Also bummy there is no fire allowed even if it's contained. Cheap an thought was cool but not cool coming back from a fishing trip to see my stuff has been messed with.
We spent 9 days at the Drift House. 2 dads and 2 sons. The location in Coopers Landing is perfect for Kenai river floats and acces to Seward and Kenai. We used the Drift House as a home base and rented a drift boat for daily fly fishing at the end of the sockeye run. There is plenty of parking for vehicles and boats. The home is perfect with comfortable beds, full kitchen, laundry access and easy trash removal. We were able to use our accounts for Netflix and other streaming platforms after long days on the river. My son and I slept better than we did at home and every morning we were minutes from the river put in and take out. Heather and company are very easy to work with and very responsive to questions and potential needs. We will return!!!
