Great place we found after all the campgrounds had closed for the season. Duane and Betty were great hosts and can't wait to go back! There is beautiful UTV riding in this area of Grant County. People are missing out.

If you need a great campground to stay while in Cassville, definitely choose Sandy bottoms up. They have beautiful cabins and plenty of weekend camper spots available. The owners are great people too. This will be our 6th Season here and I can't imagine being anywhere else. The hospitality of all the permeant campers is unbelievable, you will definitely be welcomed with open arms from everyone around.

CAUTION Train Tracks!

Please be aware that this location is close to train tracks, with trains passing by approximately every 1.5 hours, including horn blasts throughout the night. This may affect your sleep quality, and personally, I had a challenging night's rest. I wouldn't return here unless it's a last resort.

On a positive note, the people are fantastic, with many permanent rental options and friendly residents. There are some creative living setups, and the owners are pleasant. The beach has beautiful white sand.

Note that the pool is connected underground to the Mississippi River, so if you're comfortable with lake water, it should be suitable for you.

Additionally, if you have an interest in snakes, I did spot 2 during my stay. I believe they were of the common garden variety.

Again, had another wonderful camping experience. Owners are so friendly, permanent campers are wonderful. Lots of good fishing, love seeing the turtles in the ponds, and I see the kids enjoying the nice playground area. The music/ live bands were fantastic Friday night. Even bought t- shirt souvenirs. We spent some time down town at a bar for Karaoke and great food.

What a great camping experience! Came here with little notice for a tent site. There was a band here and it was packed with fun people! Despite it being busy, the owners made us feel at home. I can not express how friendly the owners and other campers were here. We will return and recommend!
