Enjoy the quiet hills of southwest Iowa, just north of Adair and I-80, exit 76. If you're looking for a quick, no frills RV spot, we're your stop. 30/50 amp, water, sewer, and high speed WiFi.
From I-80, turn north and drive through Adair. Turn left on Frontier road and take the first left on 340th St. We're on the right 1/4 mile.
Fun little stop for some random history. Make sure you know what exit to look for as there are no signs for this on I-80.
This was cool. We found it along the roadside on our way cross country from Maryland to Nebraska for a National hockey tournament. It was interesting and alot of fun for the kids. Plan on about 20 minutes here.
I stopped in June 2022,my daughter told me about the spot. Went thru the town of Adair Iowa .Didn't realize it had its own exit. I was prepared to do something extra for my photos at this site. Hope you like them. Its has some nice history about how the robbery of the train happened. Stop if you get a chance. It the exit just to the west side of Adair.
Less than 2 miles off I-80. Cool little stop to take a selfie. They even have a little shelf to do that. I had a nice history lesson with my daughter about who Jesse James was because she had no idea. Fun time to start a conversation while driving across Iowa.
Nice little detour off I-80 to an historical site. This is located on a rural road just a few minutes from I-80 and the Town of Adair. There is a long, narrow, sloped, driveway to keep cars off the road. You can drive right up to the marker and section of train track. There is a stand to hold your phone so you can take a selfie. Be sure to stand your phone up straight and not lean it top far for the best shot!
