My wife & I, and some friends, spent a couple days and nights here recently. Absolutely loved it! We especially appreciated the "kayak launch docks" located in several places. Beautiful scenery, a good biking/hiking trail, and clean bathrooms.

We'll be back.

Most well-maintained state park and camping experience ever! Bathrooms are clean, showers are hot (and free), campsites are numerous. The lake is very pretty! Also, they put on free Saturday night movies with free popcorn! What a place! And only $14 to camp. This is truly an Iowan and American gem.
