Directions

From Avery, Idaho take the St. Joe River Road (Forest Highway 50) 39 miles east to Red Ives Road #218. Proceed 12 miles on Road #218 to the campground entrance.

Horrible. Tons of people and trash everywhere. Beer cans floating in the river.

I tried to catch a buzzz. But, all I caught whas a buncha stupid trout. This would make a great lazy river, If It wasn't so much work. 1/5. Would not recommend for a good time.

It's quiet and out of the way. We camped in mid June and no one else was there. It's well kept and clean considering how far off the main road it is. Very peaceful place to spend some time in nature.
