Beautiful area!! The road is a great drive, but narrow, be sure that you understand who yields when driving on these narrow cliff edged roads. Love the beauty of God's Creation.

Absolutely beautiful lake!

Driving---Road to the lake is not the best, expect forest service roads, would recommend using a truck or suv that had AWD or 4wd abilities, was driving a dodge 3500 and had no difficulty getting there in 2wd but if it had rained and was muddy its easy to get stuck and zero service till your at the lake. Roads are pretty narrow towards the top so be mindful of other ppl.

Fishing---- fishing was decent, there is a decent amount of native brook trout ranging from 6 inches up to about 10, they do stock the lake with rainbows, caught a few around 10-13 inches, so perfect eating size. Nothing crazy huge but absolutely fun regardless

Camping---- tons of land to camp on, on the road past the mining area to the lake is TONS of areas to camp.
