I have been coming down to this campground for 10 years now and it never gets old, Tom and Shelly are some of the nicest people you could ever meet.

The campground is not for transient campers. The amenities of the campground consist of a porta-poddy in the tent camping area and an onsite spigot with rust-colored water (the water in my toilet is now pink after I filled my tank from the spigot). No shower. No office. The phone number for the campground connects you to a recorded message from the old owner saying to contact the new owner through an email address. I had to ask three times for the cost of the site. $35/night. The owners asked for payment by Venmo. I shorted the payment by $5 to cover what I payed at the nearby wastewater plant for using their dump station.

Such a great little campground! Tom and Shelly are so accommodating! Their isn't much they won't do to make your stay as easy as possible. Such a great group of campers there. The campground is right on the river. Easy for tubing and swimming. Would recommend a stay!

Found it completely by accident, and will definitely be going back! Far enough away that it's pretty well silent, but close enough to civilization to be able to grab a quick meal somewhere. The people were very friendly, and seemed to have a very tight knit community. Thank you so much for having us this weekend, and I can't wait until we get a chance to visit again.

We had been camping here for 30+ yrs. We recently got new owners 2 yrs ago and ever since then they have had a issue with us. The other owners NEVER HAD AN ISSUES WITH US. We had a request for him to put in a monkey bar set like the old play ground had (he tore the old one down and built a boring one for the kids. He also allows campers to camp in the tenting area because its cheaper. He allows his mother to put her hands on kids, he allows other kids to choke other kids. He broke a binding contract. Will not empty bathrooms even tho it's on contract, wont clean outhouses on a regular bases, told us he will not empty our black water tank unless we had to pull in the slide outs in the middle of the season even though nothing was in the contract about that. We were the only camper told to pull our slide outs in if we want them empty. Will not fully empty black water tank on camper. Complained about our dog being loose (even tho she stays right by us and goes every were we go) while everyone else can have their dogs run all over (his dog will come on to your site and not be on a leash they have no idea where he is or even cares) told us we can't burn pallets (even tho we have done it for 30+ yrs never had an issue, and DNR website says you can burn dementional wood as long as they are not treated or painted or nails, his reasoning was because they arent approved by him again nothing in the contract about getting wood approved by him. He accused us of throwing nails in the river and in his burn pile in the back which had a chicken coop, pallets, items from the house, tires. He kicked everyone out of the cabins because they were going to be full every weekend for events. You should be able to take everything you have done to your site landscaping wise but he is trying to keep it all and trying to bill you for a cleaning fee. You have to ask him for permission if you have family or friends that want to borrow your camper, they will decide who is welcome at your camp site. If you want visitors you have to give them notice because there is a fee to have visitors. He told us we are not welcome there next yr because we were burning pallets that were not painted or treated also took nails out (we have been burning them for 30+ yrs) They haven't done anything to help the campground out since they bought the place, they change the contract on the fly. Make up rules as the season goes, allows campers back in the tenting area even tho he has multiple spots open, kicking people out because of the age of their campers, if you have kids that are over 18 you have to get permission from the owners that they can come down.. attached are pics we ended up taking showing he allows other people to do what he kicked us out for. I would save your $2000 and go camp some where else this. This campground is getting ran into the ground and the owners are absolutely horrible. Please save your family from a horrible experience and DO NOT CAMP HERE!!!!!!!
