I went because I wanted to shoot at the 28-Target 3D archery course advertised on the website. There are three stationary bag targets at 20, 30, 40 yds, but the other twenty-five targets are missing. So, normally that would result in a poor rating. However, I shoot a traditional bare-bow recurve, which means I love roving (aka stumping)! Stars for the rating were earned back after wandering around the awesomely clean and soft woods behind the archery range, which had lots of stumps to use as targets for some fun, traditional archery roving. The 28-Target 3D course described as being there isn’t, or at least wasn’t the day I was there. But, if you’re interested in just getting out in nature, shooting a couple naturally-made targets with a couple buddies, and really experiencing the outdoors, then is a great place for it.
There are parking pads. No power or water or restrooms A pickup truck backed up to water 5:00 am Drove away 10 minutes later. What is that all about?
We didn't actually make it to Hurricane Lake. We were in the WMA scoping out White River access at Georgetown and Des Arc. It was a nice drive, but some of it was not paved and pretty rough. We did enjoy the ride and history of Arkansas' 2nd oldest and longest inhabited towns, Georgetown on the White River bluff.
Enjoyed camping with friends ,we got a little loud at times but dude was cool.only thing if you go wear a off jacket cause the mosquitoes will literally carry you off..
