Beautiful campground!! I tent camped for 3 nights and it was amazing! Plenty of room to spread out, quiet and peaceful. Exactly what I was looking for! The grounds extremely well maintained. Toilets with running water throughout the grounds, and a few showers with locking doors and toilet. Close to so many beautiful areas to hike and enjoy nature. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!

Our stay at Five Rivers was a great experience and we plan on returning and staying in Shady Grove this time. We can’t say enough about the owners, John and Joyce, as well as those that greeted us at the entrance. Friendly and accommodating is an understatement here. With hundreds of campers there, John remembered our granddaughters name after only meeting her for a minute the previous day. It brought a smile to her face. And at the store, which is very well equipped by the way, Joyce was nice as she could be. Yes, we will definitely return.

Stayed for 5 full days of music at the Pickin iin Parsons Bluegrass Fest, with top notch bands. Campground is located on a creek where tubing can be enjoyed. The owners John and Joyce make you feel welcomed and no matter how busy they are, take the time to answer questions or just chat. Beautiful mountains in the background. Full amenities. Here 11 days total to enjoy the relaxation and beautiful scenery. Wish we could stay longer!!

This was by far the most fun I’ve had at any “campground” type stay. John, his wife and Kate made us feel like family. Always polite, always informative and always thoughtful. They have a blue grass festival annually from what I understand and the entire property is clean, well maintained and goes beyond anything I could have expected. The property is stunning and you can tell they look after details that some people would never consider. So grateful we stumbled onto this little slice of sanctuary while traveling. We will definitely be back and will recommend a visit here to anyone looking for advice on where to stop in West Virginia!
