Very interesting spot but rough. Camp roads, signage are not maintained however most sites have new picnic tables and older fire rings. The cinder rock helps the road remain firm when wet. Fee $6 for over night dry camping, no water source found. RVs ok but need some clearance. We made it through with overall length of 66 ft. at very slow pace.
Beautiful quiet place to camp as long as it isn't in the middle of summer. Very clean. NO TRASH, so pack it out!!
Great for dark sky astronomy. Really quiet. Except for the crickets. Bring hiking boots and go over to where the fossil river starts. You can walk down into it and see how amazing it is. The rocks look rough but feel soft to the touch. It was hot 100degrees, but once the sun goes down and cools pretty quickly. I normally go to Red Rock but this was worth the extra time.
