This is private establishment that offers cabins for travelers.
The fifteen original guest cabins complement the values of the Elkhorn Ranch: rustic comfort, hospitality, and appreciation of natural surroundings.
You'll feel stress drain away as you disconnect and settle in with a satisfied sigh to a cabin in the woods that doesn't have a television or phones, gets no cell service, and skips out on Wi-Fi to help you concentrate on the beauty that surrounds you. (Wi-Fi and phones are available in the office, when necessary.)
We had such an amazing sleigh ride through the beautiful Elkhorn ranch. The sleigh ride was the perfect length and we were provided with warm blankets and exceptional hospitality. The dinner was perfect, so delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We hope to come back for another winter sleigh ride soon!
We took the sleigh ride lunch! The bison chili was delicious. The staff was so great! You get into the cabin and they tell ya to kick your shoes off and hang your coat– it really makes you feel at home. They serve hot chocolate before and coffee after. The dessert was pie! Omg! The ride it's self was gorgeous and cozy.
I can not say enough about my trip. Five star across the board. Met so many wonderful people, guest and staff.I needed the time away just to re-group from my own life and I it was perfect. It allowed me to have my time to myself. The food was incredible... I do not normally eat 3 meals a day but I looked forward to each meal to see what the chef had in store for us next. It was always delicious. The horses were incredible. I loved the trail riding and always in the late afternoon it was great to spend one on one time with them in the fields. When I left to go home I missed the staff so much that I called them to express my gratitude. We had an awesome group of people that looked forward to seeing each other. I have kept in touch with several people that I met there since returning home. Hopefully I will be able to return one day soon
We recently went on a sleigh ride dinner at elk horn. Due to a traffic accident blocking 191 after our sleigh ride dinner, we were not able to return to our home near Rainbow Ranch. Our group consisted of 15 people, five of them under the age of 5!? With temperatures well below zero, and no place to go, Michael, Addison, and Paul took us in to the dining cabin again and provided us with everything we needed to be comfortable and care for the little kids. From sleeping bags to food/drink to cushions on the floor for babies to sleep, there was no end to their kindness and caring. They truly “went above and beyond”! This all after they had to wait for us to BEGIN the sleigh ride, when one of our family member and family slid off the road in his vehicle en route to the Elkhorn!!?? They served us with a smile and a delicious dinner!! This level of character and consideration is difficult to find in these times. The Elkhorn is fortunate to have these fine people as employees!
This place is incredible and absolutely worth checking out!
