From jct I-380 (exit 70) & River Forest Rd: Go 1 block N on River Forest Rd, then 1/4 mi W on campground road.
Loved it! Clean, serene, right by a river. Plenty of of nice playgrounds for the kids. Picnic tables and hook ups. There's a shower house which was very well maintained. Can't complain. Its $15 for electric and water.
Love the fact that we can put our camper there for a month at a time. Great prices. Bathrooms are okay. Both playgrounds are great, one more for older kids, and the other one is for all ages.
We camped the weekend. Lots of commotion and cops being called by where we were camped. Have to pay per tent regardless if one is for your kids or not. Definitely NOT worth the price of 90$ we spent to stay for 2 nights. Didn't even get our own water hook up that says comes with your payment of $18 per day per tent. No soap in the bathrooms to wash your hands either. Shower was freezing cold water. This is the last time we will probably ever stay there. It's so sad the campground is so money hungry they have to seek it out from the tent campers just trying to have a fun weekend. A full hookup site for the month is $360 and that includes sewer. What a rip off tent camping is for this campground. I do not recommend this place at all.
They have 2 parks which is great for kids. The water and electric camp sites are reasonably priced but terribly unlevel. You will have issues if you choose one of those sites. Also they have showers and laundry on sute which is a huge plus
My dad and sister stayed with me at the camp ground, it had some really good fishing spots along the trails by the river, the camp host helped us out a ton, he actually helped us get are first trailer and he showed us the ropes, to be honest we didn't know much about a camper before. I'm 19 and the camping we normally do is a tent. Jim and Cheryl are amazing people, that helped me and my dad, they were always fun to talk too and were amazing camp hosts, there were people there that I would imagine weren't fun to deal with (drunks, ect.) And they made sure people wouldn't harm the fun for other people. They looked out for the well-being of others and cared deeply about other people. My time out there was amazing and will definitely be back again.
