What a great place to escape for the weekend! Drove in from the Dallas area taking I-30 to New Boston. The drive from New Boston to Wickes was very pretty. The cabin we are staying in is just perfect! Kim, the owner, was super nice and helpful. The setting is beautiful and it feels like we are in the woods with no one else around us. Location is perfect - only 2 miles from the state park visitor center and river.

Could not have dreamed of a better place to escape for the weekend. The cabin is precious, bed is comfortable, AC is great with a remote control, and there’s a cool little loft that sleeps 4 more people (kids would LOVE it). Outside area has 2 chairs and a picnic table, a smoker, fire pit, and a grill. The porch has 2 chairs and a bench.

We brought way more stuff than we needed since so many of the things are provided.

Looking forward to coming back very soon! Thank you Kim!

We stayed at the RV park for almost a week at the end of October. It was kind of in the boonies, which we liked alot.. Pretty quiet- seemed most people were away during the day. Went on some pretty drives and hikes nearby, not connected to the park though.

Good area for walking dogs. Didn't come across any other dog messes, so people must cleanup well after their pets there. My photos are not from the park itself, but from the areas nearby.

Super cute campground with full hook ups. Night time was our favorite part "without any lights on camper, gives the best view of the sky!" And was only over 2 miles to the Cossatot River State Park. Affordable prices $40 per night💖. Dry county, so be prepared if you know what I mean😉. So glad we found this spot. Kim was super nice and accommodated us for a two night stay🤗. No bath house, but we were fine since our camper has a full bathroom! Will recommend this to everyone who loves nature/camping. #youeithercamporyoudont

The owner met us at the gate and was very nice. The spots are very well maintained with nice patch of grass. They seem to take pride in their facility. It is so quiet but is a little close to the road, at least the RV side is. The cabins are in further and we'd like to come back and stay there sometime. It's located about 40 minutes from Mena which has some cool sites as well. It is worth the drive
