Just another day in paradise. Chokoloskee Island Resort is truly an island paradise located at the southernmost point of Florida’s SW gulf coast. Just over the bridge from Everglades City, and neighbors to the Everglades National Park, Chokoloskee is a fisherman’s dream and now we are selling brand new park model cottages!
Honestly, there is nothing better than a good day on the water, surrounded by good people, fish tales, and a great location to top it all off. Book your stay today and see why many visitors call it a fisherman’s paradise.
From jct US 41 & Hwy 29: Go 8 mi S on CR 29, then 1 block W on Demere Ln, then 1 block W on Hamilton Ln.
Great small campground. Permanent and transit sites. Sites are small, but people seem to make it work.
We drove in and parked our motorhome. There were about 60 spaces. The area is tight but a nice location and community center.
This was our first stay at this resort. We came here reluctantly only because of particular reviews. However, my opinion, for every action there is a reaction. We could not have been more impressed. The management was friendly, kind, welcoming, funny, and very helpful. The community is small, clean, and quiet. We have a 30 foot camper. Yes, the rv lots are small, yes you are close together, yes the turns are tight...however....we fit in just fine, it's quiet, clean, fairly priced, well maintained, and comfortable. We are so happy we found this place. This resort is exactly what a person needs when they want a quiet, pleasant experience to get away from the everyday hustle and bustle. We HIGHLY recommend and will DEFINITELY be returning. Many thanks for making our stay a pleasant one!!
This place is FUN, FUN, FUN!
Hosts Chris and Debbie are awesome and made our stay memorable!!! The resort offers many amenities including a rec room with pool / ping pong tables, etc and a calendar of fun activities (bingo, crafts, etc).
The”meet and greet “ events that were hosted by Chris and Debbie helped everyone get out of their campers and mingle and make new friends!
Fishing is best from a boat or kayak (they have rentals there and slips if you bring your own boat). Otherwise , book a captain to pick you up at their dock.
We fished from the dock and we each caught our first snook!!
Incredible sunsets over 10000 islands.
PSWe camped in our camper
We had a 4 day stay reserved at this resort 2/8-2/12/24. We were awakened at 0340 am by a rooster the first day and the next day at 0240. It was impossible to sleep with this rooster outside our window about 20 feet away. The neighbors said it didn't bother them at all. We got a room in Everglades City the next night so we could get some sleep. The people there were not welcoming or friendly at all. We will never stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone!
