Camp Valhalla South Zion offers a very unique camping experience. We are located on the backside of the world renowned Zion National Park on 10 acres of private land. A combination of natural beauty and and large canvas tents sets the scene. Each site is designed lovingly with great care to provide the best possible experience for our guests and comes standard with a king sized bed, fresh pillows, sheets, blankets, night stands, and lights inside of the tent, outside each site comes standard with a wooden picnic table, bbq grill and firepit. For a great night grilling using our BBQ Grills we would recommend picking a bag of charcoal, lighter fluid, and utensils/cutlery. Our restrooms are cleaned & sanitized daily and also come stocked with fresh towels, toilet paper, hand soap and sanitizer. Take delight in the spectacular views we offer and checkout some of the many beautiful hidden trails right in our backyard that only the locals know about. Also don't forget about the 5 other national parks within 2 hours of Camp Valhalla South Zion that are just as beautiful!
My mom and I stayed here for Mother's Day! The tent was clean and had a nice little heater. Very hot though and some fans would be great for the hot months. I felt like they could work on making some rock paths and clean up around the tents a bit more. And the hot tub (we looked. totally forward to) had a very bad smell when we opened it. So that was a huge disappointment.Needless to say we didn't get to enjoy it.. I do think with some more efforts put into the property and some learning on how to maintain the hot tub this place will be amazing!
Do not book your stay here. We got a message 5 minutes before check in saying their tent was ripped and we could not stay. They said for $100 more and a good review they could accommodate us. Now, we are stranded in the dessert. They Stopped responding. They should be shut down.
This campground and host are a scam. The host cancelled on me 30 min prior to check-in due to “freezing pipes”. They told me they’d offer me a full refund or I could stay at one of their other listings for $60 extra. I decided to book another place immediately because we were already in town. She then told me that she’d only refund me via Venmo or PayPal if I left a 5-star review. I told her I was not comfortable with that and she stopped responding.
Steer clear of this campground, especially on Airbnb. I wish I would’ve found the name of the campground prior to booking and looked at Google because all the bad reviews are true.
We just stayed here. This is an un-maintained property, therefore not as advertised, where advertised. I took us an additional 45 minutes once we were given the proper address.
HOT WATER DOESN’T WORK! Hot water hasn’t worked in days.
We did get a tent, a bed, a fire ring campsite, working toilet, COLD SHOWER.
We enjoyed the stay, we did camp fire in the evening. My Son liked the stay. Restroom were neat only problem is Towels in the restroom ran out very fast. No wifi at location. Tent has Propane Heater and Rechargeable lights. Ambience inside the tent can be improved
