About Campground

In 1937, our grandmother took her first trip to the panhandle of northern Florida and found pristine beauty in the crystal white beaches and the aqua blue waters. This unforgettable experience prompted her to take many more trips to South Walton with her family over the years. In 1968, our family's love for the area culminated with the purchase of this property, and we have been operating as a campground ever since.

South Walton has experienced a tremendous transformation over the decades, but our goal of sharing this area with our guests has never wavered. Whether you have been staying with us for years, or if you have never visited us before, we are excited for you to experience the same beauty that captivated our grandmother over 85 years ago!

This place is awesome. My only complaint and it has nothing to do with this place is it's just not warm enough for me as a snowbird. Nights are still chilly and the wind is also cold. I'm in shorts and tee shirts not as much as I like. But cotg is a very nice place, nice staff, nice pools, the best ever showers, there is nothing not nice about this place. Thankyou for having us.

Paid for a week. Parked WHERE THEY ASSIGNED. On the second day they told us we had to move. They booked it for someone staying 3 months. The spot was impossibly tight and our awning touched the next camper. Despite our proof that they assigned that spot they said we should have been informed we'd have to move. Had we known that we never would have come here. Let me end by stating this was by far the most expensive and least pleasant of any place we've ever stayed, including plain boondocking! I do NOT recommend this location at all.

Almost forgot... We were kept up all night by the lights from (I think), the laundry facilities.

Our family has been coming here for 5 years and although they have done some changes to improve guest experience, we found our cabin was very dirty and furniture was worn out, the bedding had not need cleaned and, kitchen was not well equipped

Found a couple of dead/alive roaches. We reported our issues to the staff and had a call back quickly but not enough effort was made to resolve all.

Needless to say we won’t return next year

Always a great visit here. Been coming here for years. Never usually leave the campground because we love the beach. You won’t get an experience like this anywhere else with your camper. Kind polite sincere people all around you. Kid friendly and safe. Aren’t all Rv parks kinda close? Why do people whine about this? It’s a great park. We love it and are blessed we continue to have a great experience here. It was exactly what we needed to get away from the busyness of our everyday lives. You can enjoy your visit here. It’s all in your attitude. Be humble and enjoy life. You’ll have a great time here. Can’t wait to come back . They even had a little parade for Christmas throwing out candy and caroling. Love love love this place. Please ignore the bad reviews. Some people will never be happy. Thank you! Joel Z. Dec 22-29.
