Choose a wooded campsite within walking distance of white sandy beaches or camp along the banks of a quietly moving river. Bring your boat or canoe, or fishing tackle and a rod, for a relaxing time with family and friends.
Explore nature on the hiking trails, while at the same time leaving stress of the busy world behind. Attend a festival, a reenactment or simply
do nothing.

Such a great place to visit!! It was $6 a car and there was plenty of space and access! Pavilions too to eat lunch under! The ocen side was beautiful and clean and pretty quiet! I definitely recommend going here to spend the day or just kill time!
We ended up on the nature trail and enjoyed learning about the different plant types and what they do !
It's January, so no swimming for us along this beautiful mile or so of beach, darn it!
Campsites are nice and nice size. They're cut out of the beautiful sand dune fauna, the thick kind, so they're private.
Bathrooms are modern and clean with some typical shower faucet, clothes hook issues.
The 6 lane hwy 98 is like a hundred yards away so there's that...
A 3 mile walk along the park drive and a half mile on a dune trail was our hike.
Well kept, lovely beach park, in town...
State Park is one of cleanest I've ever visited. The trail and parking lot area are dog friendly but not the beach. Accessible but doesn't provide beach style wheel chairs. Beach patrol happens often enough to keep everyone safe. Great spot to take photos in the Destin area.
I finally made it to Henderson State Park. I have watch so many videos and heard how beautiful this beach is. It was hard for me to believe as some of the gulf beaches are marshy in the central area. It is a beautiful as they say and Henderson Beach State Park is one of the best State Parks I have stayed at so far. I will be back for sure.
