We stayed Dec 2023. It is a newer campground. They have quite a bit of long term RVs on the perimeter with shorter stay in the middle. There are very few trees for shade in the middle, but they have planted some. It has a gravel road that was in good shape. The middle sites seemed mostly level. No holes or mud pits that we noticed on the road. There are concrete pads at each site for the picnic table. Each site also had a fire pit and offered firewood for sale. They had a very nice bath house with 3 units. Each unit was secure so you felt safe while using bath house - this was a very big plus for me. They have areas to walk your dog in leash. They also have receptacles for poop bags. There was one green area that could easily be fenced for a little dog park - please consider this in future. The bath showers did have bars for safety and is handicap accessible. The shower floor itself is slippery. The bath floor gets wet from the shower as well even though they have a shower curtain. They have signs that warn of slippery floors, but that doesn’t take away the hazard. A bamboo mat would allow a person to step out of shower onto a dry place to dry off. This mat could be easily lifted for wheelchair access. Also, having a rough rather than smooth finish in shower floor would offer a more safe flooring for shower itself. We were greeted with kindness. The Wi-Fi was ok but we had to use our amplifier. Water pressure was good. Bath house water pressure was great. The bath house was decorated in industrial decor and was very clean. The RV park abuts to a trail that goes all the way to the dam. You can also easily walk to the dog park, which was nice. We enjoyed our stay and would return if we were in the area again. The National Infantry Museum was awesome and made our trip to Columbus GA well worth it. This museum is top notched and well worth your time. Propane was offered at RV campground also.

Very well run with nice clean restrooms and showers. Person at the front office was extremely nice and helpful. Ice and firewood on the premises which is a big plus for us. The hike and bike trail heading to downtown Columbus is right on the property. National Infantry Museum and other historic things very close by. Really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back!

Nice, this place is at the Very End of the road, just pass Oxbow golf course that has a Great driving range and putting green. RV Park is your typical all gravel roads. Quaint basic place. Some sites in middle section have a concrete pad. Only one little problem/hassle is the sewer pipe on lot of sites are to HIGH, and draining is NOT smooth, cause you have to hold up hose to get flowing! Not ideal, even with supports.

Being a military family needing somewhere to stay as we house hunted, this place was such a convenience for us to stay at in our toy hauler. The rv pad lots were easy to back into for our 28 footer. The rv park is conveniently located to base. We had space from our neighbors which was nice given that we have a bid dog. We enjoyed fishing at the beautiful lake, even took the kayaks out. There are no fenced in areas for dogs to play and potty, but there are plenty of areas where you can walk and take your dog to use the bathroom while on leash. The facilities were always clean and well kept. None of the foot traffic from Lumpkin ever came down that far. We felt safe and secure at that location with it being so private at the end of the road. They had nice size fire pits at each site, so we bought a grill rack and cooked over the fire. There are some big fish in the lake. We only caught one, but it was a nice size catfish.

Very nice park.

Immaculately maintained premises and facilities. Bathrooms were outstanding, some of the best we have ever encountered. A lot of things to do in the area the hiking right off the back of our site was fantastic. We walked to the infantry museum using the hiking trails. Staff is extremely friendly courteous and professional, and the price is good! Or stay was enjoyable, we added another day so that we could do more. We will be back!
