One of the more beautiful beach campgrounds in the Sonoma Coast State Park. Awesome campsites, we’ll protected, many with ocean and beach views. Good rest rooms and water. Book early for campsites. Swimming in the ocean not advised, however, due to strong rip tides. Lots of awesome trails along the coast. Great for day stop.
We didn’t get the weather that I was hoping for but you can’t control the weather! Beautiful spot, nice quiet campground. Don’t buy the firewood here. We thought it didn’t light because of the dampness from being on the coast and ended up bringing it home. We had it in our home for 3 weeks and tried using it in our fireplace. Impossible to burn. Bring your own firewood because the stuff they sell doesn’t burn.
Terrible waves on my tent almost drowned.don't go here it's awful a dump really, mostly large racoons eating your food and dont try and stop them they are dangerous one even Carries a big knife and can opener it was mistake going down here...never again will I ,wow and the volume of raw sewage dumped out right where your to camp is horrible.youll regret every moment.its a waisted place and swimming really sucks.dont go here it's bad can't believe it's actually a park?
Location was great. Price ($35) was fine. No showers, and no soap in the bathrooms. I am giving 2 stars because the camp “host” was surly. His demeanour really soured our time there. When other campers are friendlier and more helpful than the people who (I assume) are being paid to be there, there is something wrong.
