About Campground

Wishon Village Campground has been family owned and operated since 1960. Here in the Sierra Nevadas, life is pure and simple.

Enjoy the fresh mountain air and stars in the sky. Wifi is available, but no cell service is sure to help you disconnect. We keep it simple up here. You’ll find a clean campground, friendly staff, a fun little gift shop, and quiet nights.

Wishon Village RV Park is conveniently located 75 miles from Fresno, California, at an elevation of 6,600 feet above sea level. It is just a mile from Wishon Reservoir and seven miles from Courtright Reservoir.

Our quaint summer resort features an RV Park with 96 spacious full hook-up sites, a cozy Cabin Rental, and two nicely appointed RV rental units. We also have a tent camping area and an old fashioned General Store complete with a Gift Ship, Groceries, and activities. You’ll also find bold-fashioned, great trout fishing, and a friendly atmosphere.

the campground was nice and we'll kept, we had a pretty spot that was shady most of the day and back to the woods. the people in the store were nice and helpful and answered the phone when we couldn't quite find our way getting lost seemed like 5 times. seriously folks don't listen to your GPS. If you're on McKinley just keep driving you'll find it. Even if your GPS says it was five miles behind you. Yes sure like any other Campground you can hear the neighbors play their TVs too loud and The kids screaming across the campground. I didn't care for the plague of wasps that keeps you from eating anything outside. our next door neighbor for some ungodly reason thought it was the thing to do to burn a full massive campfire literally all day everyday and late into the night every night and it's 90 freaking degrees. not to mention we had to keep our windows closed the whole time because he kept us smoked out. obviously somebody who lived there since he had a literal 6 foot high wall of wood cut that was 10 feet long. lastly..even though this is near the Wishon reservoir don't plan on spending any time at the lake unless you have a boat. And getting in the lake is a nightmare, to steep and rocky, you'll end up going to one of the other lakes like Courtright. everything is far away.

Great place for rather senior ppl if you prefer to spend time on the camping. Showers smell clean but appear not so encouragingly. The biggest downside are wasps (yellow jackets) - it’s a plaque! Impossible to eat outside.

Lake is around half hour walk (take more time if with kids) form camping walking on a main road. The trail through a forest is not the easiest one (you need to follow some piles of stones that show a way) and leaves you not at the lake but at some private parking. Lake is not really to swim in (too cold) and the beach doesn’t exist (only rocks). Not much to do in the area. Be careful for the rattlesnakes!! Listen close they can hide on the side of the road while you walk to the lake.

Plus for the store - quite well equipped (butter, frozen food, snacks). Staff is very friendly !!!

I recently tent camped and fished at Wishon for a total of nine days. I was treated to a wonderful Four hours of fishing on the Wishon Village RV Pontoon boat where Gordon was at the controls the entire four hours. Gordon Kent is part of the Wishon Village staff. He was excellent in providing me with a wonderful experience of fishing! He was very friendly and very helpful in providing me with new fishing skills. Wishon Village has great staff that go out of their way to help make your vacation at Wishon Village a memorable experience. I have spent over 25 years vacationing at the Village in our travel trailer and camped in a tent with many fond memories! I would recommend visiting this family owned RV Park and Campground.
