The Lake is located 6 miles northeast of Brawley within the County of Imperial. Directions: From HWY 111: Hwy 111, east on Rutherford Road, south on Dietrich Road. Lake is on the right.
The recent opened up the north side of the lake. Be warned lots of flies, a super swarm, I believe from the fire.
Best lake in the Imperial Valley- possibly the United States of America. Water is clear, views are great, and the times are good.
We don't know how can anyone kayaking in the lake. It is right next to a cow farm. It's so stinky. Nothing to see.
Used to be a family swimming place, had a little food store and you could rent big tubes to float on. That's not true anymore. Sad to see what this place has become. Avoid it.
The water is terrible!! Please people don't swim it, it's like a third world lake, thick, green and slimy. Swarms of bees everywhere, the bathrooms are terrible and very out dated. Where's our tax dollars? Why aren't the rangers getting support from our state to take care of this once awesome place.. What a disappointment.
