Enter 29 palms (the town) on Hwy 62. Turn north on Adobe Road (well marked as the road to the marine base). Continue north on Adobe Rd for about 5 miles to main gate. After passing thru the main gate, turn right at first traffic light, head south until you see the Home Store on the right. Park in that lot and walk across the street to the Housing office. DO NOT attempt to park at Bldg 690. After checking-in, continue south on Del Valle Dr for .2 miles where Del Valle makes a gradual turn (NCIS is on your right). Just a bare bones RV park, no amenities in or near the park. There is a basketball court and picnic areas with a dog area and a dog park within a five minute walk. Commissary and exchange are close by, Joshua Tree National Park East entrance is only 30 mins away and town center about a 15 min drive from base.
