AVOID THIS RATTLESNACK PARADISE!!

RATTLES SNAKES EVERYWHERE! And our car got thrashed by bears, and the water snakes basically make the lake unusable. Mosquito's this year have been TERRIBLE TOO!!

Then of course the swarms of bees everywhere and the frickin' ranger always telling everyone to keep it down at 9pm.. such a bummer.

There's such better camping at Jackass Meadows (seriously) Mono Hot Springs, Edison Lake, etc.. Really this spot should basically be torn down.

Definitely do not recommend

About 1 hour and 45 minutes from Shaver Lake, this was a remote and scenic campground. We had a beautiful campsite surrounded by golden Aspen’s with a great stone fire ring and a picnic table.

WORST PLACE TO STOP on Kaiser pass. Had a snake den in our campsite and scorpions in our shoes. Bees CONSTANTLY in our food and basically almost got carried away by mosquitos.. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Not kid friendly and barely adult friendly EVEN if everywhere else is packed. Shaver or Huntington are way worth the drive back down if everywhere else is full. Or try jackass meadows.
